Introduction

The Library of GIR, established in 2010, is situated behind Manipal Post Office i.e. in the old TAPMI building. The library is in over 1056 sq ft area. The aim of the library is to acquire and disseminate information on Geopolitics, International Relations (Study Abroad Program), Polish and North East Studies, along with Political Sciences, Economics, Languages, History, Military Science, Social Sciences, Gandhian and Peace Studies etc. Besides traditional carriers of information such as books, thesis and journals, the library is well equipped with print and online journals, journal database, computer lab etc. The Library is automated with KOHA library software and is Wi-Fi enabled.
