Sub:: Trial Access to MD Consult online database

Trial access to MD Consult online database is now available at KMC Health Sciences Library micro site i.e. http://www.maheinfo.edu/lib/index.asp and the same can be accessed in intranet environment any where in the Manipal University campus at Manipal till 31st August 2007.

MD Consult (www.mdconsult.com) – an online database from Elsevier Health Sciences. It has been designed by them to help Physicians in taking clinical decisions and at the same time keeping them abreast with latest medical developments globally.

MD Consult core collection contains 31 Clinics of North America (Full text access from 1996 onwards), 46 Journals (full text access from 1996 onwards), 51 Reference Book, & 31 Year Books. Apart from journals and books, it contains latest news in the field of medicine, 30,000 Drug Databases, more than 1000 Practice Guidelines, & 10,000 Patient Handouts as well. Enclosed is the list of contents of MD Consult.

All the faculty members and postgraduate students are hereby requested to make use of this trial access and please send the feedback about the usefulness of MD Consult to the undersigned at the earliest.
